Centred Counselling is committed to helping you be the person you want to be through face to face or online confidential non-judgemental professional counselling.
We are here to help, not to judge or criticise. Our counsellors accept you for who you are.
It’s critical that we can build trust and we do this by being transparent and open with you from the start.
You can be sure that you will be working with certified, experienced professional counsellors.
Your privacy is a top priority. Sessions are completely confidential as is all the information you provide us.
Everyone suffers from anxiety at some point and it can leave you feeling nervous, panicked or completely helpless. We can help you explore your fears and move past them in a safe professional environment.
People experience depression in different ways, for some it may be a heaviness or sadness while for others it can be debilitating. Talk to one of our professional counsellors about how it feels for you.
Low self-esteem can stop you leading the life you want. It can impact your confidence and ultimately lead to depression or anxiety. We can help change your perception of yourself and find your strengths.
Dissociation is a normal reaction to overwhelming emotions. It may leave you feeling disconnected, struggling with strong emotions and mood swings or feeling empty and confused. Our counsellors can help you reconnect.
Hi, I am Caroline Hewitt and I am the founding member of Centred Counselling. I am a qualified Person Centred Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Sometimes in this fast-paced life, we lose track of who we are and what we genuinely want for ourselves, it’s easy to become overwhelmed and stuck. Our thoughts and feelings don’t always match up and sometimes they are based in past events or future concerns, this can make day to day living a struggle.
In my practice, it is my aim to offer you a safe space where you can begin to unpick what is happening for you, even if you’re not sure where to start. Though it often doesn’t feel like it, I believe that each person is unique and has an innate ability towards healing and in my role as a counsellor, I will endeavour to journey alongside you as you discover this for yourself.
I am able to offer face to face and online counselling and have daytime/evening and weekend availability.

My practice offers predominantly Person Centred therapy because it recognises our base needs as human beings to feel safe, accepted without judgement and to be understood. I am however able to offer alternative ways of working, should you be interested. I have experience of working creatively with elements from:
Mindfulness and Grounding techniques
I welcome expression through sandtray, writing, drawing, timelines, music.
Thank you for helping me when I needed it most. I thought that life would never be the same, and just didn’t want to get out of bed anymore or be around people. You helped me make sense of my feelings and now I know life won’t ever be the same, but it feels different, my days are better and I am happier and I have started volunteering again.

I’m much more confident in myself and my abilities. I’ve definitely made moves away from relationships that were hurting me. I value myself, my thoughts, my wants first and I am finally living my life the way I have always wanted to.

I have been seeing Caroline as my counsellor for a couple of years now and have felt and experienced many changes; I have become more confident, more happy and more myself since receiving therapy from Caroline. She is considerate, empathetic, reassuring and very quickly allayed any concerns I had receiving counselling in the first place.

There’s a lot of useful information in the media recently about how diet can impact our physical health, hardly a week goes by without another study being published. In comparison, however, there have been fewer articles highlighting the benefits of good nutrition on mental health.
